The Challenge

The Challenge

Modern Stage Service has been operating since 1956. They lit Kamani Auditorium in 1971, brought intelligent lighting to India in 1995, and have since delivered government-commissioned projects at Purana Quila, Sanchi Stupa, Virasat-e-Khalsa, the Golden Temple Plaza, and the 350th Birth Anniversary celebration of Guru Gobind Singh Ji at IGI Stadium. Their client list reads like a who's who of Indian cultural and tourism institutions.

A company with that history and that portfolio needed a brochure that could walk into a government tender room and command immediate respect. The challenge was to organise six decades of achievement, a nine-category service offering, and multiple crore-value project credentials into a document that was visually striking, easy to navigate, and worthy of the brand it represented.

The Solution

The design leaned into the drama of what Modern Stage Service actually does. Their work transforms monuments and heritage buildings into living experiences after dark, and the photography in the brochure, floods of deep red, piercing laser beams cutting across stone, holographic light wrapping ancient arches, does the heaviest lifting. The design system gave that imagery the space it needed to breathe while keeping the document structured and professional throughout.

The company journey was presented as a timeline, letting the six-decade arc speak for itself from the early theatre years through to landmark government commissions. Services were laid out clearly across both the service types and the venue categories they serve: corporate museums, architectural installations, theatres, heritage buildings, and places of worship. Each project entry in the portfolio section was given its own spread with project cost, completion date, commissioning authority, and summary, the exact information a procurement officer or tourism body needs to assess a bid.

The deep red and dark palette throughout was a natural fit for a company that works in darkness and makes it spectacular.

What was built

Result

A brochure that represents one of India's most accomplished creative technology companies with the gravity it has earned. For a company that illuminates monuments worth centuries of history, the document finally gives their own story the same quality of light.
